Performed MRI in this 15-year-old adolescent boy with limping and pain in left groin revealed slipped capital femoral epiphysis posterior and medially relative to metaphysic associated with bone marrow edema
Discussion
SCFE is idiopathic type of salter 1 fracture through proximal femoral physis that can be bilateral in 18-100% of patients. Most common age of presentation is 12-15 years. Opposite-side SCFE occurs usually within 24 months of the first occurrence
